Natthapak Khumkad, a Thai crocodile farmer known as “Crocodile X,” faced a difficult decision during Typhoon Yagi as his crocodile farm walls eroded from relentless rain. To prevent over 100 endangered Siamese crocodiles from escaping into the nearby community, Natthapak had to euthanize them. The 37-year-old owner of a crocodile farm in Lamphun, northern Thailand, was forced to act quickly to protect both his livelihood and the surrounding population.

MOL spends $1.7bn buying Dutch tank terminal operator
Japanese shipowner MOL is acquiring LBC Tank Terminals for $1.72bn, expanding its presence in chemical storage in Europe and the US. LBC operates seven terminals with a total capacity of 3m cu m, including facilities for rail and truck transport.
