A Texas woman and her 16-month-old son were denied boarding on a Southwest Airlines flight after she inadvertently misgendered a flight attendant. The incident occurred when the woman referred to the flight attendant as “sir” instead of “ma’am.” Despite apologizing and attempting to explain the mistake, the woman was told she would not be allowed to board the flight.
