A look at the terms — and tensions — in the Israel-Hamas draft ceasefire deal

If the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal goes as planned, fighting will cease in Gaza for 42 days, and hostages will be freed. Israeli troops will withdraw to the edges of Gaza, aid will increase, and negotiations will begin to determine Gaza’s governance. The deal includes the release of hostages by Hamas and Palestinian prisoners by Israel, as well as the establishment of buffer zones and aid entry to Gaza.
