Tennessee man sentenced to life in prison for murdering his wife during their Fiji honeymoon

Bradley Robert Dawson, a man from Memphis, Tennessee, was sentenced to life in prison for murdering his wife during their honeymoon in Fiji in 2022, with a minimum of 18 years to be served before parole consideration. Dawson was convicted of killing his wife, Christe Chen, at the Turtle Island resort in the Yasawa archipelago, and fled the scene by kayak to a nearby island. Despite Dawson’s plea of not guilty and claims of insufficient evidence by his lawyer, Justice Riyaz Hamza found him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, citing Dawson’s disregard for Chen’s life and personal liberty.
