Teens ignite fire near sleeping homeless man under bridge

Three teenage boys in Bangkok set a homeless man, Karn, 51, on fire while he was sleeping under a bridge on January 19, 2026. After dousing him with fuel, they ignited it, causing significant injuries to Karn and damage to nearby infrastructure. CCTV footage captured one boy recording the incident before they fled on a motorcycle. The suspects, aged 9 to 15, have been identified and face arson charges, with potential penalties including imprisonment and fines.
