Technology can play a crucial role in catching law-breaking drivers, but it is not a replacement for having enough gardaí on the roads. With the use of speed cameras, automatic number plate recognition, and other high-tech tools, law enforcement can more easily identify and apprehend those who are breaking the law. However, without an adequate number of officers to follow up on these technological leads, many offenders may go unpunished.
