Six years after losing the rights to her back catalogue, Taylor Swift may have the opportunity to repurchase her master recordings, initially bought by Scooter Braun for $300 million. Braun, who sold them to Shamrock Capital a year later, is reportedly encouraging the sale back to Swift, though it could cost her between $600 million to $1 billion. The albums in question include her first six records, all of which she has since re-recorded except for her eponymous debut and 2017’s Reputation, which is speculated to be dropping soon.
