Tata group’s unlisted financial services businesses, including Tata Capital and two insurance joint ventures, reported significant profits for FY24. Plans are underway to list Tata Capital next year after being classified as an NBFC upper layer by the RBI. However, the group’s realty, airline, and new-age businesses are facing challenges, with Air India and Tata SIA Airlines reporting losses, while Tata Teleservices is dealing with substantial liabilities related to Gross Revenue and Adjusted Gross Revenue.
