Taiwanese shrug off China’s Bullying on ‘Independence Separatism’

Beijing recently issued an appeal for Chinese citizens to inform Taiwanese expatriates and visitors with pro-Taiwan independence leanings, without causing widespread alarm in Taiwan. The appeal also included a threat to impose the death penalty for “diehard Taiwan separatists,” which was issued about three months ago. Despite the threats, there does not seem to be a significant reaction or concern within Taiwan regarding this issue.
