China’s President Xi Jinping emphasized to U.S. President Joe Biden that Taiwan, democracy, human rights, and development rights are “red lines” not to be challenged by the United States, as reported by Xinhua. Xi also warned against U.S. involvement in disputes over islands in the South China Sea and urged against provocation in the region.
