SDF chief Mazloum Abdi called on the US-led coalition to secure facilities as Syrian government forces took control of the Al-Hol camp from Kurdish forces, following a ceasefire. The camp, housing 24,000 people linked to ISIL, saw a peaceful transfer of control amid ongoing tensions between the government and the SDF. The SDF, once a key anti-ISIL force, is now being replaced by the government in Damascus, prompting concerns about the security of ISIL prisoners held in various facilities in the region.
