Syria expected to hold parliamentary election in September, official says

Syria is set to hold its first parliamentary election under the new administration from September 15-20, according to Mohamed Taha, head of the electoral process, as reported by the state news agency SANA. This election will allow citizens to vote for the People’s Assembly for the first time since the change in leadership.
