The suspect in a shooting at a California college died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after being surrounded by police following the incident that left an employee critically injured at the Center for Media and Design in Santa Monica. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, was found dead in a vehicle in Hawthorne, California. The shooting was described as workplace violence, and the victim, a long-time employee of Santa Monica College, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
