Surrey Six killer in court seeking to overturn his conviction

A hearing to potentially overturn a 2014 conviction in the Surrey Six mass murder due to police misconduct has begun. Cody Haevischer and Matthew Johnston were found guilty of six counts each of first-degree murder in the gangland killings. The Supreme Court of Canada’s ruling on police misconduct led to a 15-week hearing where witnesses will be called to testify.
