Supporters of Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado celebrated her Nobel Peace Prize win with rallies in various countries worldwide ahead of the award ceremony. Thousands marched in Madrid, Utrecht, Buenos Aires, Lima, Brisbane, and other cities to show their support for Machado’s efforts towards achieving a democratic transition in Venezuela. The demonstrations highlighted the call for a “Free Venezuela” and praised Machado as a symbol of hope for the country’s democratic aspirations.
