NASA officials have announced that a partial lunar eclipse will occur later this month, coinciding with one of this year’s supermoons. This month’s full moon will be one of the closest approaches to Earth in 2021, forming part of a series of four consecutive supermoons. The upcoming supermoon will also coincide with the partial lunar eclipse, darkening and partially obscuring the full moon over North America.
