Today is Super Tuesday, and voters across over a dozen states are participating in presidential primaries and caucuses. This day will award more than a third of all delegates available in both the Republican and Democratic nomination processes.
Although former President Donald Trump will not yet have enough delegates to secure the nomination, the results will indicate whether he will maintain his lead over Nikki Haley in the remaining states. Since the first major Super Tuesday in 1988, no Republican candidate has won the presidential nomination without winning the most states on this day.
President Biden is not facing a significant primary challenger for his reelection campaign.
