Sunscreen Review by Therapeutic Goods Administration Ahead of Summer

A report by consumer group CHOICE revealed that 16 out of 20 tested sunscreens failed to meet their SPF 50 claims, prompting an investigation by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), while some brands, including Ultra Violette, have recalled products or paused sales. Although some sunscreens performed well above their claims, the TGA has confirmed no immediate safety concerns, urging consumers to continue using sunscreen regularly.
