Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have conducted drone strikes on key locations in Port Sudan, including the airport and a hotel, marking the second attack this week amid ongoing conflict. The strikes have resulted in raging fires and disrupted air traffic, with three flights from Cairo canceled; however, the extent of damage and casualties remain unclear. Port Sudan has become a refuge for those fleeing the violence that has claimed at least 24,000 lives and displaced over 13 million since the civil war escalated in April 2023.
