The UK has imposed sanctions on four senior commanders of Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) due to their involvement in mass killings, systematic sexual violence, and attacks on civilians in El Fasher, North Darfur. Among those sanctioned is Deputy Commander Abdul Rahim Hamdan Dagalo, brother of RSF leader Mohamed Hamdan “Hemedti” Dagalo. The RSF has been accused of committing atrocities during its siege of El Fasher, leading to significant civilian casualties and humanitarian crises. The ongoing conflict has shifted to multiple fronts, threatening Sudan’s stability and exacerbating the humanitarian situation.
