Faculty and staff at St. Clair College in Windsor and other colleges in Ontario may go on strike in the new year due to unresolved labour negotiations. The Ontario Public Service Employees Union has received a no-board report, starting a 16-day countdown to a possible strike on Jan. 4. Faculty are seeking less work precarity, better wages, job security, and an end to unpaid labor, with hopes of reaching a deal during scheduled mediation from Jan. 6-8 to avoid labor disruption.
