Two Missouri deputies shot and killed, two others injured by suspect

A traffic stop in Missouri escalated into a deadly confrontation when suspect Richard Bird, 45, opened fire on law enforcement officers, killing one deputy and injuring two others. After fleeing the scene, Bird was tracked to nearby woods where he again fired at deputies, resulting in additional injuries. The standoff ended when law enforcement returned fire, fatally shooting Bird.
