A drunk thief in New Jersey returned two stolen mandolins to a vintage guitar store with a handwritten apology note, claiming he had been intoxicated. The owner of Lark Street Music was shocked by the return of the instruments, which had been taken on December 22. The thief was caught on surveillance video stealing the mandolins, valued at $3,500 and $4,250, and later returned them in shopping bags before fleeing the scene. The Teaneck Police Department is investigating the incident but has not made any arrests yet.
