The ruling allows the migrants to challenge their designation and seek return or hearings, providing them with the due process denied by the Trump administration. Despite the opportunity for redress, some, like former detainee Jerce Reyes Barrios, continue to struggle with trauma and are hesitant to seek return to the U.S.
