U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized approximately 291 pounds of alleged methamphetamine, valued at $2.6 million, hidden in a tractor trailer transporting batteries at the Colombia-Solidarity Bridge in Laredo, Texas. The discovery occurred during a secondary inspection prompted by a CBP officer’s referral. Following a canine and nonintrusive inspection, 40 packages of meth were found.
