Five Arrested in Connection with De Niro’s Grandson and Stein’s Daughter Deaths

Five individuals were arrested on charges related to the 2023 overdose deaths of Robert De Niro’s grandson, Leandro De Niro-Rodriguez, and Chris Stein’s daughter, Akira Stein. Sofia Marks, known as the “Percocet Princess,” was previously charged for selling the drugs linked to De Niro-Rodriguez’s death. The new defendants, part of a criminal network, allegedly distributed counterfeit opioid pills laced with fentanyl to young people in New York City. The indictment indicates these pills caused the deaths of three 19-year-olds, confirming the identities of the victims.
