Man fatally shot by NYC police alleged to have attacked officer with a butcher knife

Several NYPD officers shot and killed a 35-year-old man who allegedly entered a Brooklyn precinct and attacked an officer with a 14-inch butcher knife early Sunday. The suspect was shot after lunging at officers; the injured officer was treated for minor injuries, while the motive for the attack is under investigation.
