A 68-year-old woman from Warwick, New York, is in stable condition after being rescued from her car, which caught fire following a crash on a highway early Sunday morning.
The Chester Police Department responded to the incident, finding the driver trapped inside the burning vehicle. Officer Nicholas Contino, the first on the scene, broke the sunroof glass to aid in her rescue, assisted by two motorists and a paramedic, before she was taken to Westchester Medical Center with burns covering a third of her body.
