A potential mass shooting at a Michigan graduation ceremony was prevented after authorities received a tip about a threat shared on Snapchat. Following a fight at the Arts and Technology Academy of Pontiac’s graduation, police discovered two loaded guns in the parking lot and arrested 19-year-old Deahveon Shamar-James Whaley, while searching for 20-year-old Jamarion Jaryante Hardiman, both with prior involvement in violence. Sheriff Michael Bouchard emphasized the importance of reporting threats, urging the public to “see something, say something.”
