Long Island Plane Crash Rescues
On Sunday morning, two individuals were rescued after their private Piper PA-32 plane crashed into Long Island Sound near Tweed New Haven Airport, Connecticut, around 10:30 a.m., as reported by the FAA and U.S. Coast Guard. The Coast Guard dispatched a 45-foot boat to the crash site near the Thimble Islands, successfully rescuing the occupants, who were in stable condition and later taken to Stony Creek Pier for medical care.
