2nd suspect arrested in SoHo torture case, officials say beatings, drugs and gun used

William Duplessie, a second suspect in the alleged kidnapping and torture of an Italian man in a luxury NYC apartment, surrendered to police on Tuesday, facing similar charges as co-defendant John Woeltz. The victim reported that after being lured to New York with threats against his family, he was tortured for over two weeks, enduring severe abuse and forced drug use before escaping. Police recovered various items related to the torture at the scene, and both suspects have been held without bail.
