Former USPS employee sentenced to 27 months in jail for stealing .9 million in checks

Dontavis Romario Truesdale, a former USPS employee in North Carolina, was sentenced to 27 months in prison for stealing over $1.9 million in checks from P.O. boxes. Truesdale, who worked at the Ballantyne Post Office, stole more than 200 checks and sold them to co-conspirators involved in bank fraud. After pleading guilty in January, he will report to a federal prison after being released following the sentencing.
