Torture charges filed against 3 family members accused of abusing 6 children

California Family Charged with Torture of Six Children

Three family members in California, Kenneth Michael Key, Tina Marie Sheffield Key, and their daughter Kaitlynn Marresa Key, have been charged with six felony counts of torture and child abuse involving six children in their care. The charges stem from an investigation initiated by a tip to a child abuse hotline, revealing that the children, aged four to sixteen, allegedly endured years of severe physical and emotional abuse, including daily beatings and deprivation of food and water. The defendants are scheduled for arraignment via video in Rancho Cucamonga Superior Courthouse, with the investigation ongoing.
