A series of weather warnings were issued for wind and rain following Storm Eowyn’s impact on the British Isles, causing flight cancellations, rail closures, and power outages for over a million people. Despite the red weather warning being lifted from Scotland and Northern Ireland, the Met Office has extended warnings until Tuesday due to a new low-pressure system, Storm Herminia, moving in from the southwest. Wind warnings have been lifted from the west coast and a further warning is in place for wind and rain across southern and central England and Wales.
