Storm Eowyn Leaves a Third of Ireland Without Power

A powerful storm named Eowyn caused widespread power outages in Ireland, with 715,000 customers affected. Record-breaking winds of up to 114 m.p.h. were reported, disrupting travel and grounding hundreds of flights. The storm, influenced by a strong jet stream, is the most severe in Ireland since 2017 and is expected to be followed by another hazardous storm system for Britain.
