The Ashburton District Council has adopted The Stockwater Exit Transition Plan to phase out the delivery of stockwater services by 2027, starting with the Pudding Hill intake and Methven Auxiliary intake. The plan outlines the process, water sources, and order of work, with property owners and stakeholders receiving regular updates via the council’s website. Led by a working group including representatives from Federated Farmers and Environment Canterbury, the transition plan will be monitored and any issues reported back to the council, with the next meeting scheduled for March 6.
