State hit with Gastro outbreak: ‘Highest level in recent years’

NSW Health reports a spike in gastroenteritis cases, especially among children, due to rotavirus and norovirus. Hospital presentations are high, with children under five being most affected. The community is advised to practice good hand hygiene, keep sick children at home, and seek immunisation against rotavirus for children under six months.
