Thousands of unionized Starbucks workers are set to strike on Thursday, dubbed the “red cup rebellion,” due to the company’s failure to reach a contract agreement. The strike, which has no specified end date, will start at over 65 stores nationwide after 92% of union members voted in favor. Workers are demanding better pay, increased staffing, and an end to labor disputes. Starbucks claims it offers the best benefits and wages in the industry and is open to negotiations.
