Starbucks Korea is set to open a new branch at the Jogang Observatory near the border with North Korea, offering customers a view of the hermit kingdom from its 10-seater store. The outlet, located in Gimpo, Gyeonggi province, will open on November 27 and provide a glimpse into North Korea’s Kaepung county, with plans to sell merchandise featuring the landmark. The observatory, situated at Aegibong peak, is surrounded by a military base turned eco-park, with guests being screened by the military before entering the venue.
