Funeral Held for Father Who Died in House Fire

A private service was held for Dean Field, who died in a house fire alongside his three children, August (7), Hugo (5), and Goldie (1), in Sanson, Manawatū, on November 15. The funeral notice described him as an “adored Dad” and a “deeply loved and respected uncle.” Police are investigating the deaths as homicide, and the family dog, Marlo, was also killed in the incident, with the ashes of Dean and Chelsey’s stillborn daughter, Iris, lost in the fire.
