A 3,563-carat Purple Star Sapphire, claimed to be the world’s largest of its kind, was unveiled in Sri Lanka by its anonymous owners, who are looking to sell it for an estimated $300 to $400 million. Named “Star of Pure Land,” the gem features a unique six-ray asterism and was discovered in 2023 in Rathnapura, a city famous for gems. The stone has been polished and certified by two laboratories, highlighting its exceptional value and quality.
