In its latest annual report, the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) detailed its active cyber operations, which target not only the technical infrastructure of violent extremist organizations but also their reputation and credibility to disrupt their influence. The report highlights a rise in cyber incidents and identifies China as the foremost national security threat, while also noting the agency’s response to improper information sharing regarding Canadians.
