A major data breach by the UK Ministry of Defence in early 2022 exposed the personal information of over 100 British officials, including spies and special forces members, prompting the relocation of more than 16,000 Afghans to the UK due to Taliban threats. Defence Secretary John Healey issued an apology, and a previously imposed media injunction regarding the breach and relocation program was lifted on Tuesday.
