Speeding Scots driver killed ‘popular’ couple while trying to overtake three vehicles and bus

George Murphy, 55, was jailed for seven and a half years for causing a head-on crash on the A85 that killed Martin and Josephine Cousland. The couple, parents to two daughters, were on their way to meet their daughters before a holiday on the Isle of Mull. Murphy pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, leaving their daughters devastated by the loss of their parents.
