In Alicante and Murcia, 17 suspected gang members were arrested by Spain’s Civil Guard police, who also seized two vehicles and various weapons. The investigation began after three individuals were apprehended near a rubber dinghy in La Manga, leading authorities to suspect involvement in human trafficking. Following a fatal highway accident caused by a vehicle towing an inflatable boat, police determined the incident was linked to a criminal group smuggling individuals from North Africa into Spain illegally.
