SpaceX’s Starship Test Flight
SpaceX is set to launch its Starship megarocket on its ninth test flight from Texas on Tuesday, following two previous failed launches that ended in explosions. The 400-foot-tall rocket, a crucial element of Elon Musk’s Mars exploration plans, features a Super Heavy booster that has been reused from a prior mission. This launch will test several scenarios, including deploying eight simulated Starlink satellites and relighting an engine in space, while the Federal Aviation Administration has expanded the safety hazard zones significantly along the flight path.
