Southport stabbing suspect Axel Rudakubana appears in court accused of terror offence and making ricin

Axel Rudakubana, a teenager accused of murdering three children at a Taylor Swift-themed holiday club in Southport, appeared in court charged with a terror offence and making ricin. The 18-year-old is accused of producing the biological toxin ricin and possessing a manual titled “Military studies in the jihad against the tyrants: the Al Qaeda training manual.” Rudakubana appeared via videolink from HMP Belmarsh at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, where he kept his face covered and chose not to speak.
