Residents of Nant Morlais in Pant, Merthyr Tydfil were shocked when a large sinkhole opened up in their street, leading to the evacuation of around 30 homes and closure of the cul-de-sac. The cause of the sinkhole is believed to be a collapsed culvert, according to a local councillor, and the council has urged residents to stay away from the area to allow engineers to work safely.
