South Korea’s acting leader accepts resignation of presidential security chief

South Korea’s acting leader accepted the resignation of the chief of the presidential security service, Park Jong-joon, amid allegations of obstructing justice in blocking law enforcement efforts to detain impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol. Police plan a second attempt to bring Yoon into custody for a brief martial law declaration, while the Corruption Investigation Office and police have vowed to overcome resistance from the presidential security service.
