Yoon’s lawyers failed to prevent the detention, despite his willingness to voluntarily appear for questioning, as more than a thousand investigators and police officers were deployed to apprehend him after previous attempts were blocked by the presidential security service. Despite a court warrant for Yoon’s detention, the security service has fortified the compound, but investigators managed to enter and confront the impeached president.
